'Adulterated Moonlight’
Lyrics & Composition & Vocal & Producer | Caslean
Mixing & Mastering | Chris Brown
I don’t know where to hide.
When you bring her back leaving me outside.
This is the last time though I fail to hate you.
Think about what the hell you’ve done to me.
I won’t make excuse for you.
The first time you begin, intend to play the game
Just let me in and out and high and down I’ve never said fucked you.
I am already tired out when you tear me down, I lose energy to love.
So I’ll not even say goodbye, I’ll find a better guy.
Sometimes I try to ignore sad feelings.
I miss the warmth in your arms,
Tears rolling down.
This is the last time though I fail to hate you.
Think about what the hell you’ve done to me.
I won’t make any excuse for you.
The first time you begin, intend to play the game
Just let me in and out and high and down I’ve never said fucked you.
I am already tired out when you tear me down, I lose energy to love.
So I’ll not even say goodbye, I’ll find a better --
The first time you begin, intend to play the game
Just let me in and out and high and down I’ve never said fucked you.
I am already tired out when you tear me down, I lose energy to love.
So I’ll not even say goodbye, I’ll find a better guy.
about
This is a song about love, betray, a little bit of growing pain and a little bit of girl power. When I realized that even the people and belief which seemed to be pure, could actually be polluted (love could also disappoint me too); my tears rolled down as a waterfall. However, the brand new ribs and energy grows out from me because of this as well.
Wedding dress on the single cover is to show the contrast of ‘purity’, ‘white’, ‘happiness’, ‘fulfillment of life/new stage of life/growing’ ironically.
If I have to define the genre, I would say it’s an alternative dreamy rock and indie singer-songwriter. I tried to keep the instruments as simple as I could, just to highlight the vocal more (both the old rough texture of the recording environment/equipment and my naive but decisive way of singing.)
Also worth mentioning that the mixing & mastering engineer this time is Chris Brown, who worked in Abbey Roads and mixed for Radiohead, Muse, The Beatles etc. He helps a lot to make this song sounds like something between indie and mainstream; bedroom and radio.
